Rappers 'lenen' maar wat graag lines van Biggie

Hiphop is all about innoveren, maar het wordt ook sterk beïnvloed door muziek uit het verleden. Dat zie je bijvoorbeeld aan de samples die in verschillende beats gebruikt worden, maar ook teksten worden vaak hergebruikt. Soms rechtstreeks overgenomen, soms wordt er een eigen draai aangegeven. Er zijn weinig rappers geweest wiens lines zo vaak gebruikt worden als Biggie Smalls aka The Notorious B.I.G.
