Meek Mill heeft zich niet geliefd gemaakt in Ghana. De rapper heeft namelijk een videoclip opgenomen in het presidentiële paleis in de Ghanese hoofdstad Accra. Op Twitter laten veel Ghanezen met duidelijke bewoording weten niet gediend hiervan te zijn. Het presidentiële paleis, ook wel bekend als het Jubilee House, wordt als prestigieus gebouw gezien door het volk.
Meek Mill deelde zondag de teaser van de videoclip, maar waar hij Ghana juist in een goed daglicht wilde zetten leverde dit juist een golf aan negatieve reacties op. De videoclip is ook niet meer online gekomen.
All those responsible for this despicable desecration of the Jubilee House by Meek Mill must be fired immediately. How do those explicit lyrics from the president’s lectern project Ghana positively? Is Ghana’s seat of government no longer a high security installation?
