Album: A$AP Rocky - Testing

Na maanden teasen is het vandaag eindelijk zover; A$AP Rocky dropt zijn langverwachte album Testing. De opvolger van het album At.Long.Last.A$AP uit 2015 telt vijftien tracks met gastbijdrages van Kid Cudi, T.I., Frank Ocean, Kodak Black, Juicy J, French Montana, Skepta, Moby en Fka Twigs. De productie op de plaat wordt verzorgd door o.a. Hector Delgado, Kanye West, Dean Blunt en Tyler, The Creator.

Rocky zelf zegt dat het album draait om het uitproberen van nieuwe sounds: “People are scared to test new sounds, so they go with what’s current ’cause it’s the easy thing to do. The top 100 songs sound a certain way. People cater more to that because it’s a bigger demographic behind that, or it’s a guaranteed demographic behind that. I prefer to experiment and have my crowd grow with me and to reach new crowds. I don’t just rap—I actually make music. That’s why it takes time.”
