Bedenker Milly Rock klaagt Fortnite-ontwikkelaar aan voor het gebruiken van zijn dans

Fortnite is al ruim een jaar gigantisch populair en dat komt niet in de laatste plaats doordat de game is omarmd door de hiphop-community. Zo braken Drake en Travis Scott allerlei livestreaming-records en voegt ontwikkelaar Epic Games allerlei dansjes toe die rechtstreeks uit de wereld van hiphop komen.

Dat laatste is 2 Milly, bedenker van de Milly Rock, in het verkeerde keelgat geschoten. De rapper heeft Epic Games aangeklaagd voor het 'stelen' en verkopen van zijn dans, zonder dat hij daarvan wist. Of de aanklacht kans van slagen heeft is niet te voorspellen. Het is onduidelijk of het Amerikaanse auteursrecht de Milly Rock beschermd.
2 Milly is niet de enige die zich uitspreekt tegen de ontwikkelaar van Fortnite. Deze zomer deelde Chance the Rapper ook al zijn mening over het twijfelachtige verdienmodel van het populaire spel.
