Pharrell Williams en Adidas bundelen krachten en onthullen 3 nieuwe Superstars
Pharrell Williams onthulde deze week de Spring/Summer 2025 collectie van Louis Vuitton met een runway gebaseerd op de Franse film uit 1995, 'La haine'. Daarnaast debuteerde Pharrell ook zijn nieuwste samenwerking met Adidas, namelijk drie Superstar sneakers.
De Superstar 92 zijn geïnspireerd op de overdreven proporties van skatesneakers en skischoenen uit de jaren '90. De schoenen worden ook wel de 'Double Wide' genoemd.
De silhouet werd voor het eerst getoond tijdens Tiffany's Wonder tentoonstelling in Tokio. Pharrell dropte daarna hints over de collab op zijn tweede Instagram account, @skateboard. Dit account is toegewijd aan zijn werk in de fashion industry, waaronder werk als creative director voor Louis Vuitton.

In de Pharrell x Adidas collab worden niet alleen het 92 model uitgebracht, maar ook de 72 en 82. Het 72 model heeft meer een atletische stijlfiguur dat in de jaren '70 bekend was. Die 82 hebben een meer verfijnde gevel uit de jaren '80.
"We’ve moved beyond the impossible task of creating one thing for everyone. Instead, we pulled inspiration from the decades to offer three unique designs from the low-profile running look of the ’70s, the tailored elegance of the ’80s, to the bold design language of the ’90s. We wanted to give the world an option to find a Superstar that resonates with their unique self," geeft Pharrell uitleg over waarom er drie Superstars zijn gecreëerd.
Verder is het nog onbekend wanneer de collab Superstars verkrijgbaar zullen zijn.
