GoldLink met de grond gelijk gemaakt nadat hij Mac Miller beschuldigt van diefstal

Ruim een jaar geleden kwam er veel te vroeg een einde aan het leven van Mac Miller en GoldLink besloot dat het nu een goed moment was om hem te beschuldiging van diefstal. In zijn open brief op social media bespreekt hij de goede relatie die hij met Mac had, hoe ze elkaar altijd gesupport hebben en dat hij niet verrast was toen hij hoorde dat zijn collega was overleden aan een overdosis. So far so good, maar daarna ging het mis.
GoldLink schrijft in zijn brief dat Mac Miller zich liet inspireren door artiesten om zich heen, maar bij GoldLink te ver ging. Volgens de Crew rapper heeft Mac het album And After That, We Didn't Talk gekopieerd heeft met zijn Divine Feminine album. Volgens GoldLink is dat waar de problemen tussen de twee begonnen zijn.
Het duurde niet lang voordat GoldLink het hele internet over zich heen kreeg. Vooral Anderson .Paak ging los op de rapper terwijl we .Paak nog nooit uit zijn slof hebben zien schieten. Zie hier de brief en een aantal reacties.

We have side-by-side, dated recordings showing Goldlink lifted Smino’s verse on a collab song that Smino never cleared to release. Goldlink reused lines, but not his own lines — he stole phrases from Smino. Writing a letter like this to someone who’s passed is weirdo territory.

what upsets me the most about this Goldlink situation 1. Mac isn’t here to defend himself 2. that shit is PUBLIC on the internet which means Mac’s family will likely see it 3. Mac did so much to help this dude/his career and now he comes out of no where with this disrespect
This whole letter is disrespectful and weird. Something about this seems incredibly off. What the fuck was Goldlink thinking?
